Your order is sent (via e-mail) to Green Floral, Inc. The e-mail is retrieved as soon as it is received.

When your order is received, it is reviewed by our staff, which are florists and not an order taker or order forwarding service. If your order falls within our normal local delivery area it will receive immediate attention. If the order falls outside of these areas then it is forwarded to a Florist who can make the delivery. The FULL VALUE OF YOUR ORDER is then sent to the filling Florist that is in our Data Base, do to their past performances and our rating system! floristfirst.com does not subtract any forwarding costs. If your purchase is, for example, $69.95 then $69.95 is what our filling florist receives to prepare your order.

I placed my order and had requested that it be delivered in the morning but I have not heard anything from the person I sent it to?

Morning deliveries are normally made prior to noon, so always remember that you might be in a different time zone. Some recipients don't always call immediately to acknowledge that they did receive the item. If you ever question the delivery, just drop us a line and we will gladly provide you with the delivery time, date and signature of the recipient. Also, the recipient may not have been home, which may have prevented direct delivery when requested.

If the recipient is not at home, what becomes of my order?

The normal procedure is, unless other arrangements are made, to deliver the product to the recipient, but, if they are not home, try to find a close neighbor who will accept delivery on behalf of the recipient. If the delivery is left with a neighbor, the recipients' home's door is tagged with a door hanger stating this, along with a message left on the recipient's phone, if they have an answering device. If both of these attempts fail, the item is returned to the florist after the recipient's door is tagged, informing them of the attempted delivery and a call is left on their answering device, if they have one. The florist continue to do follow up, with calling the recipient until they are contacted, to arrange for delivery.

What happens if the recipient is not at work?

First, we hope that the order has stated that the delivery is going to a business and not a home, so the delivery is scheduled in a normal business hour timetable. If the recipient is not at work, the driver will acquire when and if they will be returning to work, and if so, leave the item with a co-worker. If the recipient is gone for the day, delivery will be attempted either the next day or if a home address is provided, then delivery will be made at the recipient's home. If the home address is not provided, the driver will try to attain this from the business and follow up by delivering to the home.

How will I know if my delivery was made to a funeral home?

All Funeral Home deliveries are logged in the funeral home's log book. Some funeral homes request a receipt left at time of delivery. If the delivery is being attempted close to the service or visitation time, the drivers will inform the funeral home staff of the delivery, to assure prompt placement of the floral piece, by the funeral directors. In most cases the family members of the deceased will not be able to to acknowledge the item sent until after the service, which can result in a week or two after the service.

How are hospital deliveries different than a delivery to a home or business?

Most deliveries to hospitals are delivered, either at designated delivery point, which is usually taken to the room by hospital volunteers or taken to the nurses station that is responsible for that patient, who in return, takes the delivery to the patent's room. It is very rare that the deliveries can be made directly to the patients room, due to the Hospitals rules. Most hospitals will not allow deliveries to be made at all , if the patient is in ICU or a special unit. If the patient cannot receive your order, due to being in ICU or some special unit, we will continue to contact the hospital until the person has been moved into a room, where they can receive the order.

Can You leave the delivery outside the house if know one is home?

We can, but we do not recommend it. Your order, in most cases, is made with perishable items. Weather conditions can cause damage to this type of product and theft is always a concern of ours. We prefer either leaving it with a neighbor or attempting a new delivery when the recipient is at home to receive it. If it must be left, due to a special situation, will will do so under your instruction, as long as you understand the problems that can result from leaving it.
